The Serenade of the Seas cruise ship has arrived in the Chinese city of Tianjin.

It comes as the world’s largest cruise brand – Royal Caribbean International continues its plans to expand its presence in the Chinese market. Ning Hong has the story.


Tourists stepping off the cruise ship are immediately treated to a colorful cultural performance.

The Tianjin tourism department has prepared Chinese cultural gifts for the visitors, while also organizing special performances and other cultural experiences.

Local banks at the port offer free services for mobile payments, guaranteeing convenience for tourists.


During their stay, international visitors will get to enjoy immersive tours of Beijing and Tianjin, visiting iconic landmarks like the Forbidden City and the Great Wall.


As part of its 2025-2026 China market plan, Royal Caribbean is expanding its presence in the country by deploying two 170,000-ton international cruise ships, at China’s three major ports: Shanghai, Tianjin, and Hong Kong.
