New changes to schedule

Hey, dog owner here. I’ve had my dog (Beeps) for 3 years now. Adopted him as a pup as it was love at first bite (we made eye contact and he nipped at my face then went back to running around his foster parents house lol). Anyways, I worked in tech since I got him and my job has always been remote since then. I am starting a new job tomorrow and it’s sadly not remote anymore. I’m nervous about leaving him alone for so long each day since we haven’t been apart like that every day. Ever since he was younger, I trained him to be alone even when I did work at home because I tried to prepare for this day but it was never for 8 hours a day. Does anyone have any suggestions or what to possibly expect from this transition? I’m honestly hoping that in the one that will need to adjust more than him but I feel really sad overall. I’m gonna miss my buddy throughout the day
