Hi everyone! My cat is pretty small, maybe average size? Last I weighed her she was around 71/2 lbs. However, I noticed she’s been gaining some weight. On top of the fact that I learned that wet food is pretty essential to protect from urinary tract infections and other health complications, I wanted to switch over anyways so she would have a healthier diet consisting of less carbs. However, she loves her kibble. So, instead of completely switching over, I’ve been giving her less dry food and more wet food. 7 1/2 pounds is the ideal weight for her size. I’m feeding her 30 grams of purina naturals plus a 3 oz can (split into two meals) a day. Is this too little or too much? I’m having the hardest time calculating what’s best. I want her to live as long as possible since ya know, she’s my best friend. I’m sure many can relate to this.
