Italy road trip

Hello, I am planning a road trip with my family in May for 10 days, starting from Izola to Milan and Como Lake. Any suggestions, which cities to visit? Or which not? Also restaurants. The plan is to stay in Slovenia for 3 days, then drive to Venice from there to Verona, spend a night over there, visit Lake Garda, move next to Milan, and then to Como, spend a night in Lecco. Also, swim on a perry on Como Lake and finish with Lugano. Any suggestions, please? Is it a good trip in general? Or maybe there are some places is necessary to visit during the road, which we might miss.
