Splitting 7 days in Northern Italy before Santorini

Hi all. I'm planning a Euro trip in the fall. I'm thinking about spending ~6-7 days solo in northern Italy before heading to Santorini to meet up with some friends for 5 days. The flights are cheapest if I buy round trip tickets from home to Milan, then round trip tickets from Milan to Santorini. So, my tentative scheduled is planned around that.

For northern Italy, I have a couple places I'm eyeing either as day trips or staying there overnight, at least.

• Milan (I've heard not to spend too much time here, couple days max)
• Venice (several days?)
• Verona looks stunning (several days?)
• Lake Como (day trip, if at all possible)

I'm from a big city, so I'm looking for something a bit more lowkey with beautiful natural sights, but still "city-like", if that makes sense.

Ultimately, I need to make my way back to Milan on the 16th before leaving for Santorini. I'd prefer to stay the night there since my fight is in the morning. Does my itinerary below look too crazy regarding northern Italy? Is it possible to fit a day trip to Lake Como, from Milan? Any recommendation for things in general?

10/10 - Arrive in Milan

10/10-10/11 - Stay in Milan

10/12-10/16 - Stay in Venice or Verona

10/16 - 10/17 - Return to Milan for one night

10/17 - Leave from Milan to Santorini in the AM

10/17-10/22 - Santorini

10/22 - Leave from Santorini to Milan

10/22-10/23 - Final night in Milan

10/23 - Fly home
