Greetings,
I want to preface this by saying I know it is not usual to travel to Greece in December. My plan is to go to Turkey at least and was wondering if I should add Greece in my itinerary as well.
My Itinerary:
*Land on December 14th to Athens. Visit the acropolis.
*Go to neighboring islands on the 15th and 16th (I was thinking Crete and Hydra?)
*Go back to Athens on 17th and fly to Istanbul
My purpose of travelling to Greece is to sightsee (don't really care about the beaches). I care more about seeing the nature and the beautiful buildings and trying out different restaurants and I know that a lot of islands and restaurants will be closed so this is where I ask you for advice- if it is worth going during December or just stick with Turkey only. I am travelling with a family of 3 so we will have 2 luggage and 1 carryon. Would it make sense to do a turkey and Iceland trip instead?
Turkey:
*Stay in Istanbul for 4 days then go to Cappadocia for 2 days and fly back to Istanbul and then home Thanks
