Hello everyone, I'm planning our first trip to North America this summer and could use your help!
We (2 people) will be traveling for about four weeks, starting in Washington, D.C., and my destination is Toronto, Canada. Since we are from Germany and have never been to the States & Canada before, I'm looking for inspiration and practical tips for this trip.
Stay: How many days should we spend in cities like Washington, D.C., New York City, Buffalo, and Toronto to get a good sense of what we're looking for without rushing ourselves too much?
Sights and activities: What special places should we not miss? Are there any special events, local cuisine or hidden gems we should check out?
Travel methods: What are the most sensible modes of transportation between these cities? Should we rent a car, take the train, or are there other options I should consider?
General tips: What general advice would you guys give to someone traveling this route for the first time?
