Neighbor

I live in a very residential neighborhood with lots of cats, dog parks, etc. I happen to live next door to an older woman who hates and is terrified of cats. We got a cat about two months ago and are letting him go outdoors a little bit. He LOVES it and always meows to go out. However, he thinks the neighbors yard is great and today she left her door open and he went into her house. She started screaming, my husband called the cat back, and they had words. Suggestions? I’d like for him to be able to go outside some, and she is scared enough that she can’t shoo him out of the yard.
