Sometimes when my dog would do something bad, I would hit her for discipline, not very hard but also wasn’t very light. I knew that you weren’t supposed to hit your dog so I would rarely hit her and only do so for severe actions. I now realized what I had done whenever I raise my hand near my dog, she would squint her eyes and her ears would go down, signifying that she was scared and though I was gonna hit her. I am guilty and now want to reverse this fear that I have given my dog. How can I do so?
