Help me find a fitting destination

I'm planning a trip but just don't know where to go. It should be in Europe or near by, it's between the 10. - 24. of August and like 5-10 days. Looking for a place where you can actually relax and don't do anything else but also experience some things like you have days where u relax and days where u go on an adventure, go to events, museums and so on. It could also be like ur 3 days in that place and 4 days in another place near by or that has a good train connection, so under 3h ride. Also I want some acceptable public transport since I won't be renting a car or something. It's also a Solo-Trip and for someone in their 20s. The budget is about 400-1000€. Thanks in advance!
