Emirates, the leading international airline, has recommenced daily flights to Phnom Penh, stopping in Singapore. This service marks an extension of Emirates’ network in the Far East to 21 destinations and increases its Singapore operations to four daily services.

The inaugural flight from Singapore was celebrated at Emirates’ dedicated Airport Lounge with a cake-cutting event attended by prominent figures such as His Excellency Jamal Abdulla Mohammed Bin Abdulwahab AlSuwaidi, the UAE Ambassador to Singapore, Vy. Samdy from the Cambodia Embassy in Singapore, and Steven Ler, President of the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS). Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President of Passenger Sales and Country Management, led the ceremony alongside Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations in the Far East, and Rashid Al Fajeer, Emirates’ Area Manager in Singapore.

The service is operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, featuring three classes. Emirates flight EK348 arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport on May 1st, receiving a warm welcome with a traditional Cambodian dance. The arrival was attended by esteemed guests including His Excellency Dr. Mao Havannall, Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, and Cyril Girot, CEO of Cambodia Airports.

Nabil Sultan commented on Emirates’ resumed operations to Phnom Penh: “Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage and growing economy make it an attractive destination for leisure and business travel. We’re excited for this unique gateway to once again join our already extensive Far East network. Through the linked services between Singapore and Phnom Penh, we’re also able to support the trade and business movements between the two regional hubs and facilitate the convenient shipment of imports and exports between Singapore, Cambodia and the UAE, as well as other markets in our global network.

We thank the local authorities in Cambodia for their support in facilitating the return of our operations to Phnom Penh, and look forward to offering a world-class travel experience for customers, and driving more visitors into both Singapore and Cambodia.”

Cyril Girot, Chief Executive Officer of Cambodia Airports said: “Phnom Penh International Airport rebuilds its international route network as Emirates reconnects with the Kingdom’s capital city. This is great news for passengers who will have more access to inbound and outbound travel options, further improving their journey experience.”

Flight EK348 departs from Dubai at 02:30, arriving in Singapore at 14:05. It then leaves Singapore at 15:35, reaching Phnom Penh at 16:35. The return flight, EK349, departs Phnom Penh at 20:50, arriving back in Singapore at 23:50, and leaves for Dubai at 01:40, arriving at 04:55. All times are local. Tickets for these flights can be booked via the Emirates website, app, or through travel agents.

Emirates SkyCargo has played a pivotal role in facilitating trade from Cambodia, handling over 2,420 tonnes of cargo over the past two years through a combination of road feeder services and interline partnerships. With the resumption of daily flights, Emirates SkyCargo will further boost trade, offering 300 tonnes of weekly capacity to major markets like the UAE, USA, Canada, Netherlands, and the UK. This initiative supports local businesses in exporting products such as apparel, fresh fruit, and perishables through Emirates’ advanced logistics network.

Onboard, passengers can experience Emirates’ Fly Better promise, with a three-class configuration on the Boeing 777-300ER. This includes private suites in First Class, lie-flat seats in Business Class, and spacious seating in Economy. The inflight experience features gourmet multi-course meals, a broad selection of beverages, and over 6,500 channels of global entertainment through Emirates’ ice system, which has garnered multiple awards.

Emirates has been recognized for its exemplary service, including the 2024 APEX World Class Airline award, reflecting its commitment to safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. The airline’s sustainable Economy Class amenity kit also won the 2024 IFSA award for ‘Best Onboard Amenity’.
