Marvel Comics' web-slinger Spider-Man has been adapted into movie format twelve times, each delivering a fresh take on the iconic Marvel hero. Prior to Spider-Man's blockbuster movies, the young hero was the star of several TV series and made-for-TV movies, along with various acclaimed cartoons. In decades past, Spider-Man's film rights had been a major point of contention, thwarting plans for directors Tobe Hooper and James Cameron to bring the character to the big screen. Eventually, Columbia Pictures acquired the film rights to Spider-Man, allowing Sony to develop their first Spider-Man franchise under the watchful eye of Sam Raimi.

In the Land of Saints and Sinners is very beautiful for a thriller. A lot of that is thanks to the gorgeous Irish coastland where the film is set, and the way director Robert Lorenz films it. Lorenz was most famous for producing Clint Eastwood's output over the past 25 years, but has come into his own as a director with films like Trouble with the Curve and The Marksman. That latter film starred Liam Neeson, who reunites with Lorenz in this new film about a hitman who becomes the target of a radical faction of the I.R.A. in Northern Ireland circa 1974.

Although there are plenty of great TV shows, some of the very best either accumulated popularity in later seasons or didn't gain the attention they deserved until after they ended. Through the power of streaming services like Netflix and Disney+, binge-worthy TV shows are more accessible than ever before. As audiences were able to view older TV shows easily, tuning in as either new or existing viewers, these titles suddenly gained more attention years after the final credits rolled.

I watched the recent Family guy episode where Peters family, Cleveland's family, Quagmire and Joe's family all go to a cottage together. It was short and went off the rails a bit towards the end but I found it very entertaining. I guess it reminds me of being a kid and going to these big family reunions or trips which we don't do as often anymore.

A new movie in the Child's Play franchise has been teased by Don Mancini. The only movie that did not feature Mancini's participation was the 2019 remake of the same name, which has not received a sequel.

Michael Keaton recently spoke about working out for his role as Bruce Wayne in DC's Batman, stating that he "approached it totally wrong" after hearing Jack Nicholson's reaction. Batman was one of the earliest blockbuster superhero movies, turning the genre into a magnet for actors looking to get a big break in Hollywood. Today's actors now tend to put a lot of effort into embodying their comic book roles. This was also the case for Michael Keaton, who engaged in a workout regime to better convey Bruce Wayne's build.
