Hi,
I’m travelling to Croatia in a couple of months and I am struggling with the fact I don’t want to get things wrong. I have a hotel booked with Tui (I know people will say it’s better to do not like that but it being only the second time I have travelled without my parents and the first time being a disaster, I wanted the comfort). Their excursions are poor though and I want to go and do things. I have seen boat trips online, really well reviewed on trip advisor but I don’t want to be the only people on these as I’ll feel really uncomfortable and I’m not sure how to mitigate this? How do I know what I’m doing is going to be good, how do I know if they will speak English? Just a bit confused where to go and how to ensure the things I do are good. My partner has also never been abroad on holiday so we are a bit unsure in all of this.
Previously I had issues in Italy with a lot of sexism, men being very condescending and nasty towards me so naturally I am concerned about this again.
Edit: I am going to near Pula, also way prefer to book things in advance.
