Cancel an easyjet flight?

Currently bed ridden by a strong throat infection , me and friend were supposed to meet in UK at his house this weekend, we both got the same throat infection, and i live in France, is there anyway i can get my fly refunded ? i've seen people say they are normally obliged to do so with EU passenger rights..except they are luton based so idk?
i've also seen theres medical reasons refund but nowhere does it says throat infection in their document , even tho they say Angina is a valid reason to not fly.

very curious and kinda lost, if anyone has advice
