ACI World celebrates a significant milestone today as it marks the accreditation of its 100th airport in the ACI World Customer Experience Accreditation Program, with Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport (CEI) in Thailand joining the esteemed list. This accomplishment underscores airports’ unwavering dedication to enhancing the passenger journey.

In collaboration with Amadeus, a leading travel technology company, the ACI World Customer Experience Accreditation Program empowers airports with the necessary tools and strategies to elevate customer experience management. Participating airports undergo a rigorous assessment and training regimen covering various aspects such as stakeholder engagement, employee development, and service enhancement initiatives.

ACI World’s forecasts predict a significant surge in global passenger traffic, anticipated to reach 9.7 billion by the end of 2024, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. Furthermore, projections indicate a doubling by 2042 and a 2.5-fold increase by 2052. Given this exponential growth in air travel demand, the accreditation program serves as a crucial framework for airports, service providers, and stakeholders to synchronize efforts, fostering a collective pursuit of customer experience excellence and ensuring alignment on shared objectives.

ACI World Director General Luis Felipe de Oliveira said, “As Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport joins the prestigious roster of airports accredited in the ACI World Customer Experience Program, it underscores its position as a global leader in airport management and its commitment to providing passengers with unparalleled service and experiences. Achieving our 100th milestone is testament to our airport members’ dedication to prioritizing passengers and employees.”

Airports of Thailand President Dr. Kijmanawat Kerati said, “It is our honour for Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport to be the 100th airport accredited in the ACI World Customer Experience Accreditation Program. We take immense pride in our dedication to creating a culture of customer-centricity and continuous enhancement of service quality. We are committed to prioritizing the needs of our passengers and delivering excellence in every aspect of the passenger experience.”

The commencement marks the beginning of the ACI World #AirportCX Celebration Week, scheduled from April 22nd to April 28th, 2024. This week is dedicated to honoring and advancing exceptional customer experiences for travelers worldwide.

ACI World is also set to host its annual Customer Experience Summit and Exhibition from September 23rd to September 26th in Atlanta, USA. This prominent gathering will unite more than 500 senior airport executives, customer experience professionals, and industry frontrunners from around the world to delve into the latest trends, products, and technologies shaping customer and employee experiences. Participants will have the chance to interact with exhibitors presenting innovative solutions aimed at enriching the passenger journey and crafting memorable experiences.
