Dog and Cat Introduction

We recently adopted a new cat and have been slowly introducing him to our resident dog. We’ve been following online and shelter’s advice on this. The dog has been mostly good, she is able to ignore the cat when he is nearby and is always able to be redirected when she begins looking at the cat. Kitty is a little more unsure, and he hisses at her when she gets too close, to which the dog usually backs away. During today’s session, the dog got a little too excited during training and moved quickly to get a treat from me (she is a lab so very food motivated). Because of this, the cat hissed and swatted through the gate separating them. My dog assumed a play bow but did bark at the cat once in response. Is there anything I can do? Does this seem like aggression on either of their parts? Thank you!
