Best vacuum for pet hair on carpet?

Hi guys, my current vacuum does nothing when it comes to removing hair from the carpet. I know there’s quite a few branded for pet hair removal, but frankly I’d hate to buy another one just to have it not work. Been combing through reviews but thought I’d ask the community as well. Have a cat and a golden doodle
