Should I put down my English bulldog

Hello, I have a 8.5 year old English bulldog. He was a family dog that was given to me after my parents separated. He is a great dog and I love him but recently he has always had a lot of health problems. Like ear infections, eye issues, skin issues and now possible acl injuries. He has had a stroke in the past but recovered. I’m taking him to the vet tomorrow but he has been a financial burden. I’m early into my career where I travel a lot and I feel like I’m always failing him.
