In a recent post about "perfect" shows, a person commented that he/she hoped The Odd Couple would never be remade. Of course, the original Odd Couple show has been remade three times so far. Once as a cartoon (The Oddball Couple), once with Ron Glass and Demond Wilson, and most recently with Thomas Lennon and Matthew Perry.
It occurred to me that there are even more remakes of a sort that are not direct remakes. The two that immediately came to mind were Broad City and Peep Show. Two mismatched people thrown together is a very natural premise around which to build a sitcom. I'm wondering if any other examples occur to anyone.
